Philippines government experiment with a Bingo Combo game

A new game called Bingo-combo will be launched by the Philippines government as the first step to combat illegal Jueteng numbers game which is widely popular with the people there. The Bingo-combo game will be operated by The Philippines Amusement and Gaming Corporation.
Unlike Jueteng, Bingo-combo is operated mechanically and it will have betting limits. Jueteng is manually run and the players fancy it for its unlimited betting functions. Critics point out that Bingo-combo's lower stakes and prizes will not help it to over power Jueteng. It's no competition to the illegal game and players would still flock to play Jueteng. The Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was herself caught up in a major Jueteng scandal and recently she announced closure of all illegal Jueteng game centers to put an end to the game.
