At the Douglas Country fair it's fun with the Bingo Game
August 12, 2005
People at the Douglas Country fair are no more attached to the carnival rides but they look forward to playing Bingo every time. The Roseburg Elks Lodge No. 326 hosts the bingo at the fair. The money collected is used to award scholarships and benefit various programs the lodge offers.
People of all ages can play the game during any day of the fair week. The bingo cards are sold for 50 cents each and players get back $5 to $20. Two games take place each day and contenders can win as much as $100. The lodge hosts nearly 190 different games per day. John Little, an Elks member calls it a good opportunity for children and teenagers to discover the fun in the game. Usually, people have to be 18 years to play the game of Bingo.
